Creep ... wood

The book also talks about creep in wood members on p. 413. Ughhh ... I don't like the wording. IRL we design against creep at well below the maximum stress levels (I guess depending on how one defines `maximum') ... we design against creep at service load levels. You have all probably seen the effect of creep ... a board or joist or 2x or whatever ... permanently bent, even though it didn't break. And it was probably bent due to loads below the maximum level - but that were there for a long time.
