Table 5.5 in the text is rather cumbersome. Think of the left hand column as simply being the `name' of the coarse aggregate. So, "Coarse Agg No. 1" ... and so on. So, for a pile of aggregate that has nominal sizes pieces 1 in. and less, there are several `names' (sizes) to choose from. Choose the size that best fits your sieve analysis, and then describe how well (or not) your stuff meets the distribution in the Table, for that size.
